Read a Good Book

There are sixty-eight umpires in the Major Leagues in baseball. Three of those umpires came from Coldwater, Michigan. There are not too many towns that can boast that. But, Coldwater can.

There is a chapter in “Coldwater’s Finest titled “Blue Collar Guys in Professional Baseball.” This chapter tells the story of three Coldwater High School grads who were lucky enough to land a job as a major league umpire.
